Will Trump Say, ‘Merry Christmas, Jared’?
President Trump said at the Values Voter Summit last week: “Guess what? We’re saying Merry Christmas again”
Tell me, Mr. Trump, will you be greeting your Jewish son-in-law and daughter with a hearty “Merry Christmas” on Hanukkah?
Will your fancy hotel in Washington tell international visitors from Asia, the Middle East and Africa to have a merry Christmas? (Surely they deserve a friendly wish while they enrich your coffers by their stay there.)
I assume that the Trump Organization follows the standard business practice of national companies in using neutral language when they deal with the Chinese bankers or Saudi princes or Russian oligarchs who buy your expensive condos.
Being “politically correct” is not a federal law; it is simply polite.
